Project overview

Where can I make changes to my website?

Changes to the website can be made through the Live Edit mode. See step-by-step how you can make your changes here.

How can I change my contact details or business hours?

You can view your company information in the "Company Details" section and also update it yourself. Please note that changes made here will be applied directly to your website and therefore will be visible to your website visitors. If the respective information has not been updated even after your page has been reloaded, it is very likely that it has not been linked in the system through "snippets" but has only been integrated into your website as plain text (see more about snippets on the "Article" page).

I can't change my website. Why is access to the "Live Edit" blocked?

If you have submitted update requests to us or if system optimizations are currently being performed, editing functions will be temporarily blocked. This is done to avoid unintended data loss during this process.

What are snippets?

By using the so-called snippets, the company information, located in the "Company Details" section, can be linked to the equivalent web content on your website. When using such snippets, instead of the original letters, you may find the corresponding snippet code in the text field, which is always recognized by double curly braces.

How do I exit Live Edit Mode?

The user interface of the Live Edit Mode does not have a separate button to close the current mode. To exit it, simply use the close function of your web browser. Typically, you can find a small X symbol on the respective window or section. However, please make sure you have saved your draft using the "Save" button before closing the Live edit. Otherwise, the changes you made will be lost.

What is the difference between "Save" and "Publish"?

The "Save" function saves the changes you make in the system so that they are preserved even when you exit the Live Edit Mode. In this context, we are talking about drafts. Your online website remains unchanged, and your corrections cannot be seen by website visitors. "Publish," on the other hand, involves both the Save function and the direct online publication of the changes you have made. If you want your draft to be accessible to users, you should always publish your page.

Why does the Live Edit mode differ from the online version of my website?

In addition to the dashed lines indicating editable elements, you may notice some slight differences in appearance. For example, visual changes or images that cannot be edited may be hidden in Live Edit mode. These differences are usually due to technical reasons or are specifically configured to facilitate viewing and working in editing mode.
